Highways Adjusting are the U.K.’s leading Niche Consultancy dealing with third party damage claims to highways infrastructure and street furniture.
Highways Adjusting was found by Guy Johnson in late 2013, since then the business has been growing steadily. Now Guy has the assistance of Lisa, who joined the team in December 2015 and Megan who joined in February 2024. We are industry leaders in both achieving results for our clients and pushing for a positive change. This has been accomplished by developing effective working relationships with our clients and as a business focusing on being the driver for improvement within the industry, by delivering successful results in negotiation and litigation strategies for our clients.
Guy Johnson
Guy Johnson MRICS is a Chartered Building Surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with over 20 years post-qualified experience. Guy admits to “stumbling into the highways sector” whilst advising a large multi-national loss adjusting practice on property claims in 2010. Having originally incorporated the work under the umbrella of his surveying practice, Guy founded Highways Adjusting in 2013 once he work was proving to be successful and has grown the business since, providing advice to the UK’s largest Insurers and Solicitors along the way. In the last 5 years, Guy has reviewed in excess of 5,000 highways and street furniture claims. If Guy gets a spare minute, he spends quality time with family and his two dogs, Mika and Sasha.
Lisa Richmond-Edwards began working with Guy late 2015, Lisa was originally known as the ‘Office Guru’ by Guy after joining the business after a particularly busy time. Over the years, Lisa has worked closely with Guy and has taken advantage of his wealth of knowledge, now she manages her own claim portfolio. Having retired from competitive Olympic Lifting, Lisa is now trying to be a runner, in the hope to complete the Chester Triple next year. Her two dogs, Nugget and Chip help with the training.
Megan Ferguson is the latest member to join Highways Adjusting, with Lisa taking over her own claims they needed another ‘Office Guru’. During the last few months, Megan has been working closely with both Guy and Lisa, taking in all they have learned and adding her own skill set. When not found at the stables with Lottie and Sox, Megan is also attempting to be a runner and aiming for the Chester Triple next year.
